Fajita Spice mix

Prep Time- 5 minutes | Makes enough spice mix for 1 pound of Fajitas (meat or veg!)

This Fajita Spice Mix takes out all the guesswork and the additives! Easily enjoy an impressive dinner without the impressive effort!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • Upon adding the spice mix to your food- 1/4 Cup Water or preferred Stock (I use vegetable stock)

* See notes at the bottom for ingredient alternatives and other ideas!

Instructions:

1- Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container for 3-6 months (If you don’t use it by then!)

When adding the spice mix to your fajitas:

1- Prepare your fajita vegetables and/ or meat in a large pan.

2- Add 1/4 Cup of water (or stock) and let it get hot enough to just boil.

3- Add the spice mix and stir everything together really well. The Cornstarch will act as the thickening agent so that you have delicious fajita-sauce goodness clinging to your food.

NOTES:

ALTERNATIVES– Feel free to change this up to suit your flavor and heat preference! I usually add more Cayenne for heat and more Garlic and Onion Powders because that’s how I like it. Sometimes I Omit the cinnamon because that’s how I feel that day. It’s super easy to make this exactly how you want it!
